Hey, I'm Pete. I'm a Master of City & Regional Planning graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey with an undergraduate degree in Industrial & Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Public transportation and transportation equity are my primary areas of interest, although I find most every aspect of transportation planning and policy fascinating.
I'm originally from the suburban Albany, New York area, although I've always considered myself to be more of a city guy than my upbringing might suggest. I've been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to spend a semester studying at the Technical University of Denmark, and as a result of the cliché enlightenment bestowed upon so many exchange students, I've adopted a pretty Scandinavian outlook toward life.
When I can find a few free minutes, I'm huge into music, the arts, and travel. I'd like to think I'm a pretty accomplished drummer/percussionist, having had the good fortune to study under and play with some of the Capital Region's most established musicians at some of its most prominent venues.
Basically, I'm just trying to understand the flow of modern society and to find my role in changing it for the better. So far, so good.
(Take a step back?)
